Attention residents of the Laurel School District (Lawrence County):

The Laurel School District appointed Berkheimer Tax Innovations to collect the school district’s per capita tax, starting with the 2019-2020 fiscal year. This is not a change in the tax or the rate, only in the collector. Due to the change in the collector, the per capita tax bills were sent out a little later than normal. The bill normally goes out on July 1st of each year. Berkheimer sent the bills out in two separate mailings - August 9, 2019 and September 20, 2019. You will still have the 60 day discount period and the 60 day face period to pay your tax before they become delinquent. The two 60 day periods start with the mailing date of your bill.
